TIP: Our activity programme includes guided hikes, yoga classes, group ski days and walks in our wonderful mountains. There is also enough room for your dog to run around. Dogs are very welcome at the Wöscherhof.
Just follow the path, and suddenly you’ll find yourself in the middle of fragrant alpine meadows covered in various mountain flowers. In spring, the barren alpine meadows look bright pink, because that's when the alpine roses bloom.

Time for a hole-in-one! The Wöscherhof is the golf hotel par excellence in the Zillertal. It’s less than half a kilometre from the first tee. If this doesn’t mean that we’re really ON POINT., then what does? Be inspired by fabulous scenery and the mountain backdrop and your hand will be as steady as they are as you tee off.
Q When you're at Wöscherhof, there’s plenty to do even on rainy days. You can train your muscles on our modern Matrix machines and release endorphins on the treadmill, ergometer, and cross trainer. Our fitness room is open daily from 7 am to 10 pm.

There’s never a dull moment in the Zillertal! There’s always something going on. Right next to our hotel is an old barn where, in spring and summer, the "SteudlTenn" barn becomes a stage for concerts, cabarets and theatre performances.
In the Festhalle Fügen there is a concert by the Bundesmusikkapelle Uderns every Wednesday evening from June to September or the beginning of October. Every Thursday evening there’s a Tyrolean evening (ticket fee).
There’s also lots to see in the autumn when the cattle come home after a summer at the Almabtrieb, are beautifully decorated.

Festival time in Zillertal, Tyrol! The Gauder Fest is Austria’s biggest spring traditional costume festival! On the second weekend in May each year, 30,000 visitors come to Zell am Ziller and literally immerse themselves in local culture. The festival has been in existence for 600 years and, because it’s so unique, it is part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. Only 12 km away from Wöscherhof!
Hmm ... thinking about a hike, but to be quite honest, you'd rather take it easy today? You feel like exploring the Tyrol, or rather: the real icing on the Tyrol cake? That's precisely what we put together some great excursion suggestions. You can visit a number of destinations. Some are conveniently located next to each other or one is on the way to the other. So, time to set off!
There are many caves in the mountains, but not like this one. It is considered to be the most important cave in the Tyrol. You won't be disappointed. There is marble of different colours with the most beautiful shapes. You can explore the cave during a trekking tour, and will be equipped with protective clothing and guided through the cave. How to get there? First you have to go to Hintertux. This takes about 45 min. Then you travel by train through the mountain air up to the Spannagelhaus. Below the Spannagelhaus, directly on the Hintertux glacier, is where you'll find the entrance to this mysterious cave.
Zillertal is literally worth its weight in gold! In this mine, you can pan for gold and learn fascinating things about the lives of the former miners, political conflicts between the social classes, and the Tyrol and Salzburg regions, and also about the influence of the church. You can even ride the gold express here! So, put on some sturdy walking shoes and hit the road.
Mining, organs, schnapps, farm implements and hand tools. In the local history museum you will learn how and from what people in the valley used to make a living. In the dairy and cheese museum in Fügen, you can taste Fügener Graukäse, Hochfügener Bergkäse, Zillertaler Gipfelstürmer and many more and discover your new favourite cheese. You will discover that cheese is like people. Just because you have your favourites, you can't rule out the others. Fügen is only 5 minutes away from our hotel!

In Mayrhofen, you can visit the amazing Erlebnis Sennerei Zillertal dairy. Here you can see how cheese is made, what life on a farm is like ... and of course taste all kinds of things - and take them home with you!
You don't need a time machine to go back to the Middle Ages - just visit Stans. The castle in Stans is amazing. It’s one of the most important cultural monuments in the Tyrol. Look at how beautifully the courtyard was painted and how the rooms of noblemen were furnished in the Renaissance. The estate is open from April to October. From Wöscherhof you can go back to the Middle Ages in only 20 minutes!
You can find out how the Tyrolean farmers used to live: how they cooked, where they slept. Only 20 minutes away from the hotel!
Miniature Madame Tussauds: You can see wax replicas of famous people from Austrian history here: Emperor Franz Joseph, Empress Maria Theresa, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and even freedom fighter Andreas Hofer. You can watch beautiful candles being made by hand. You can also join in the candle making and buy materials in all colours if you’d like to try making your own. You can walk to Schlitters in just under an hour and a half. Or reach it in 9 minute by car.
Lake Achensee is the largest lake in the Tyrol. There are real beach resorts here! You can take a beautifully romantic boat trip from Pertisau to Achenkirch via Seespitz, Buchau and Gaisalm. Reachable in 30 min from Hotel Wöscherhof.
Your eyes will light up at Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens. Conceptualized and designed by artists and designers such as André Heller, Brian Eno, Alexander McQueen and Tord Boontje, Swarovski Crystal World is a chamber of wonders. Luxuriate glitter and mica that will beguile your senses.
Wattens is located near Hall and you can also get there in about 30 minutes! While you're there, visit the "Haus steht Kopf" upside-down house in Terfens. It will knock your socks off.
Put on a helmet and immerse yourself in the dark tunnel. Here, silver ore once gleamed and was painstakingly hewn from the rock. An expert will explain exactly how it was mined. If you're a night owl, why not visit the planetarium to observe the stars in the sky? Last but not least: The Renaissance Freundsberg castle is well worth a visit. It’s a popular venue for weddings, though you don't have to get married to visit. You’ll feel like a knight from the days of old here. Have at thee, varlet!
A wealth of Tyrolean culture on display in tiny Rattenberg. With 422 inhabitants, it is the smallest town in Austria. The town almost fits in your suitcase. Only almost ... but never mind. You won’t forget Rattenberg. Here, you can immerse yourself in quite a unique world. Fine boutique fashion and handicrafts as far as the eye can see ... especially the glaziers, who let you look over their shoulders while they work. You’ll see even more on a tour of the town. You can be there in 20 minutes!
Everyone knows Innsbruck, but not Hall. The picturesque medieval jewel will create a lasting impression. In the past, coins were minted in the tower, today the town provides inspiration for poets and playwrights. If you’re still not convinced of its beauty, you have to go and see it. There are lots of interesting artisan workshops in the narrow streets. From the Wöscherhof, you can be in front of the city walls in half an hour.
Our capital has something for everyone - including shopping and nightlife. Whatever interests you, you're sure to find it here. You’ll enjoy the unique ambience. There are historical treasures such as the Golden Roof, the Sounding Gate, the St. Nicholas district, the Hofburg, Ambras Castle or the Hungerburg. You can visit museums like the Radio Museum, the Grassmayr Bell Museum, the Armory and the Tirol Panorama, which lies directly beneath the Bergisel ski jump. There are plenty of delicacies on sale in the market hall on the Marktplatz. You have wonderful views of the beautiful Nordkette from the Innpromenade and many cafes.
